Cook, Learn, Grow will be hosting a FREE Demo Session at The Woodlands Recreation Center on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. Come by to learn what Cook, Learn, Grow is all about!
Founded by Lori Hinze, a graduate of The International Culinary Center and recipient of Walmart Teacher of the Year, Cook, Learn, Grow strives to create food literacy and lead people to real food through hands-on education. Cook, Learn, Grow’s curriculum offers a healthy balance of all food groups, food origins, cooking techniques, seasonal eating, nutrition, safety and academic enrichment for children ages 4 – 12 years.

This spring Cook, Learn, Grow is offering both Spring Break camps as well as afterschool programs for children looking to have fun with food.
Price: $575 Resident/$585 Non-Res
The theme for this week of camp is “Cook, Learn, Know” and offers campers an experience in culinary arts through age appropriate techniques, creativity, how certain foods are made and the act of giving through a community food project. The week culminates with a field trip to a professional culinary school or food bank.

Calling all tweens who LOVE to cook! This class will cover seasonal spring recipes and lessons that teach age appropriate techniques, food origins, seasonal recipes, and kitchen safety while having yummy hands-on fun! Sample recipes may include: Spring Rolls, Berry Cobbler, Strata Frittata, and Fruity Rooty Salad.
