The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department is gathering community input for the Bear Branch Park Master Plan. Survey questions include specifics related to park amenities, recreational and competitive aquatic needs and potential improvements.
The purpose of the Bear Branch Master Plan is to cultivate a comprehensive plan to guide future development and/or renovation of Bear Branch Park, inclusive of capital and operational costs. The plan will identify proposed and new infrastructure at the park including indoor and outdoor recreation and the development of a 50-meter competitive aquatics facility at the park.
Bear Branch Park, developed in 1992, is a 19.57 acre town wide park located in the Village of Cochran’s Crossing. The park has undergone a number of renovations since construction and through 2008. The park features many amenities including, but not limited to: the largest skate park, nine tennis courts, a large dog park, an in line rink, a large pavilion, The Woodlands Township Recreation Center, Bear Branch Pool and a barrier-free playground.
The public input survey is available ONLINE. Those wishing to participate in the survey may also call the Parks and Recreation office at 281-210-3900.
