This year’s Bike The Woodlands events was a tremendous success! Co-sponsored by Bike the Woodlands Coalition and The Woodlands Township, an estimated 900 individuals participated in 28 organized activities that took place across The Woodlands during May.
Bike to Work Day in The Woodlands on May 20 was shared with cities across the nation, as communities recognized and celebrated the benefits of commuting to work by bike. Bike The Woodlands Day on May 21 was held across The Woodlands with six village hubs, and one main hub at Whole Foods Market in Hughes Landing. Visitors browsed among vendors, received free giveaways, learned about Bike The Woodlands Coalition and Township bicycling initiatives and enjoyed snacks and refreshments.

While this year’s event numbers were impressive, they speak a clearer message: Bicycling is an important and integral part of life in The Woodlands. It spans all ages and abilities, whether on the pathways, road, or trails.
The Woodlands Township is a great place to live and a great place for bicycling. We are fortunate to have the means and infrastructure to use and enjoy biking.
