Engineering For Kids programs are offered all spring long here at The Woodlands Township Recreation Center. Engineering for Kids spring semester starts January 9th, so sign up today.

Engineering for Kids offers classes for ages 3 1/2 to 11 in different types of engineering like mechanical and aerospace. Introducing children to science, technology, engineering and math through a variety of workshops all aimed at developing problem solving skills.

Engineering for Kids has the potential to unlock your child’s inherent interest in how things work while developing problem solving and math skills that last a lifetime.  Inspiring the next age of engineers.

Engineering For Kids – Curious Engineers

Children are  naturally curious about the world around them. Building on that curiosity, course teaches engineering concepts with hands-on learning. Children create a variety of projects exposing them to the world of engineering.

Ages: 3 1/2 – 5

Dates: January 9-May 14th (Saturdays)

Time: 8:50-9:30 a.m.

Location: Recreation Center

Engineering for Kids – S.T.E.M. Saturdays

Apprentice engineers get to explore the world of aerospace and mechanical engineering this semester! The first half of the semester, students will get to learn the fundamental concepts of trajectory, gravity, propulsion, and thrust by designing, building and testing different rockets. Mechanical engineering will take over the second half of the semester. Children get to design and build different locomotive structures from a range of materials in order to understand the underlying concepts of mechanical engineering.

Junior Engineers

Ages: 5-8

Fee: $316 Resident, $326 Non-Resident

Dates: January 9-May 14 (Saturdays)

Time: 9:35-10:35 a.m.

Location: Recreation Center

Apprentice Engineers

Ages: 8-11

Fee: $316 Resident, $326 Non-Resident

Dates: January 9-May 14 (Saturdays)

Time: 10:40-11:40 a.m.
