The Woodlands Township’s Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of events for families to enjoy together during the festive holiday season!
Families can choose from a variety of activities to find just the right fit for a busy family schedule. Holiday events sold out early in 2014, so plan ahead and pre-register! If an event is full be sure to sign up for the waiting list, additional holiday events may be added later.
2015 Holiday Activities:
Christmas in a Kayak (Saturday, December 12 at 9am)
Join Santa on a kayaking adventure from Riva Row Boat House to Northshore Park for a present hunt. All ages are invited. Fee: $45 per child/parent pair.
Deck the Halls – Christmas Tree Creations (Friday, December 18 at 4:30pm)
Gather the family at the Recreation Center for a festive afternoon of making ornaments and decorating a take-home four-foot tree! All ages are invited. Fee: $60 Resident Family, $70 Non-Resident Family
Pancakes at the North Pole (Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20 at 9am) – Join Santa and his reindeer at The Lodge at Rob Fleming Park for a pancake breakfast, a holiday craft and a photo. Fee: $60 Resident Family of Four, $70 Non-Resident Family of Four
Gingerbread House Making (Saturday, Dec. 19 at Noon; Sunday, Dec. 20 at 1pm) – Build and decorate a gingerbread house with gum drops, peppermints, frosting and more. Requires parent participation; Ages 5-12. Fee: $20 Resident, $25 Non-Resident; $5 Sibling Discount
Milk and Cookies with Santa (Saturday, Dec. 19 at 3pm; Sunday, Dec. 20 at 5pm) – Have milk and cookies with Santa while listening to a Christmas story by the fireplace at The Lodge at Rob Fleming Park. Decorate cookies and a holiday plate, too! Ages 3-12. Fee: $15 Resident , $20 Non-Resident; $5 Sibling Discount
Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt (Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20 at 7pm) – Be sure to bring a flashlight for this great holiday hunt at The Lodge at Rob Fleming Park! Enjoy canes, hot cocoa and special presents from Santa. Ages 6-12. Fee: $15 Resident , $15 Non-Resident; $5 Sibling Discount
