Due to the forecasted inclement weather, The Woodlands Township Recreation Center’s Haunted Trail will be cancelled Saturday, October 24, 2015. Updates on future weather cancellations can be found on The Woodlands Township Facebook and Twitter accounts, the Parks and Recreation blog site or by calling the Recreation Center at 281-210-3950 during hours of operation. The Haunted Trail – Forest of Phobias is still scheduled to be held on October 30th and 31st from 8 – 10 p.m. at Bear Branch Park. The fee is $8/person and Ticket sales stop at 9:30 p.m.

Stay Informed: Weather may affect Township weekend activities

The Woodlands Township is currently monitoring the potential for significant weather conditions in The Woodlands. Residents are advised to follow Township social media channels for event cancellations, monitor partner agency websites for weather and traffic conditions, stay tuned to local media and remember to take precautions when traveling this weekend. Fall Flea Market this Weekend!

The Woodlands Fall Flea Market will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 7 to 10:30 a.m. at the Town Center Parking Garage, rain or shine. Pathway Closure: The bridge connecting the pathway from Shadowcreek neighborhood to the pathway on the west side of McCullough Junior High will be closed for renovation.  The bridge will be closed for approximately 28 days starting October 26, 2015.

The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department will be closing the dog park at Cattail Park in Cochran’s Crossing to install lights at this facility. The dog park will be closed Tuesday, October 13th through Friday, October 16th – weather permitting. For additional information, please call 281-210-3800.

This Saturday, October 10th, up to 3,100 runners will race through the The Woodlands for the 10th Annual Memorial Hermann 10 For Texas 10-mile road race. The Township encourages residents to review the list of lane closures and plan accordingly when traveling through the community on Saturday. Please email for more information or call the dedicated traffic hotline at 281-210-2099 for traffic-related questions.
